ITDP Report Claims E-Bikes Win Out Over Electric Cars to Save Cities

by ebikes-international.com

February 9, 2020 - In a study done by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy regarding Climate Change, e-bikes were chosen over cars to greatly reduce emissions, help fix air quality and fill many gaps in the current public transportation system. The electric bike also rivals cars in travel times for trips up to 10km. The report further identifies the huge increase in first-time cyclists using e-bikes and how many cities are struggling to keep up with the demand for infrastructure. The ITDP makes several suggestions to policy makers for proper regulation and enforcement laws, while still encouraging e-bike use. Click here for the full report here.
