Touted as one of the largest cycling/walking plans in the world, the Canadian city is fighting back to rebound after being hit hardest by #Covid19. All of the major summer festivals in the city have been canceled.

Quebec has more than half of the approximately 5,500 deaths and 73,000 reported cases of coronavirus in Canada according to the article.

“This is one of the biggest plans in the world,” said Plante who hopes to encourage Montrealers to “go outside, to move, but in a safe manner.”

However, Lionel Perez, the head of the official opposition at city hall said the plan was short on details and didn’t seem to have considered the businesses it is supposed to help reports the Gazette.
