Operated as a public service rather than a corporate profit maker, Bike Share has found its place in the city with 625 stations and 6,850 bikes including 300 new e-bikes.

The system was initially struggled to get off the ground but Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong intervened and the system was maintained through a deal that saw the city-owned Toronto Parking Authority take responsibility for the bikes and docks.
