ICBF & Autonomy Partner to Bring Cargo Bikes to Digital Mobility Event on Nov. 4-5

release by the International Cargo Bike Festival

September 9, 2020 - We at the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) are delighted to announce today a new partnership with Autonomy. Join us at Autonomy Digital this November and let’s make cargo bikes part of the mobility conversation.

Autonomy is the international exhibition for sustainable urban mobility solutions. Normally held annually in Paris, this year Autonomy is holding an 100% digital edition on 4-5 November. Themes covered will include micro-mobility, AI and autonomous vehicles, MaaS, Physical and Digital Infrastructure, Shared Mobility and Urban Logistics.

It is this last theme – Urban Logistics – on which the new partnership between the ICBF and Autonomy will focus. The ICBF will work to enhance cargo bike presence at the event, facilitating links between the cargo bike industry and B2B and B2G attendees.

Jos Sluijsmans, Director of the International Cargo Bike Festival, said:

“We’ve long been admirers of Autonomy, so following the cancellation of this year’s ICBF due to corona, it seemed an ideal moment to partner with Autonomy for 2020. Our goal is to inspire the world to stop using cars and vans and instead start using cargo bikes: that’s why we declared the 2020s the Decade of the Cargo Bike. It’s crucial then, that cargo bikes are a part of the conversation at Autonomy. Front and centre alongside smart mobility, AI and the like. We look forward to a fascinating and fruitful partnership with Ross and the team.”

Ross Douglas, Founder and CEO of Autonomy, said:

“It’s clear that cargo bikes are going to be a crucial part of the mobility mix going forward. That is why we have teamed up with the ICBF to boost the cargo bike presence at Autonomy. Autonomy attendees from Business and Government are increasingly keen to find cargo bike based solutions, so for us it is a great fit.”

Dates: 4-5 November 2020

Visitors: Registration for a Visitor Pass is free. In 2020 Autonomy is 100% digital, live and interactive.
