Households in Germany with eBikes Nearly Triple to 4.3 Million Since 2015

September 30, 2020 - (Wiesbaden, GER) At the beginning of 2020, 4.3 million households in Germany had at least one electric bicycle. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that about one in nine households (11.4%) had at least one e-bike. At the beginning of 2015, the number of households equipped with electric bicycles was 1.5 million. This means that the number of households with e-bikes almost tripled in the last five years.
