Households in Germany with eBikes Nearly Triple to 4.3 Million Since 2015

(Wiesbaden, GER) At the beginning of 2020, 4.3 million households in Germany had at least one electric bicycle. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that about one in nine households (11.4%) had at least one e-bike. At the beginning of 2015, the number of households equipped with electric bicycles was 1.5 million. This means that the number of households with e-bikes almost tripled in the last five years.
