With the Cargo Bike project, the Region hopes to convince Brussels’ residents to use a cargo bike which is cheaper than a van, doesn’t have to deal with traffic jams, and always has a parking space.

The campaign is already a hit with the inhabitants of Brussels. “Entrepreneurs who use a cargo bike will soon receive a premium for the purchase of a cargo bike,” says Barbara Trachte, state secretary for Economic Transition (Ecolo).
