October 19, 2021 - (Thaon-les-Vosges, FRA) As its 10th anniversary approaches, the leading French electric bicycle specialist is strengthening its management team to embark on a new stage of development. Olivier Cantet, a manager with extensive experience in growing iconic sports brands, joins Moustache Bikes as CEO.
Moustache Bikes, which recently rounded out its Executive Management team and structured its marketing, supply and quality departments, will welcome the arrival of Olivier Cantet as CEO from 1 January 2022. A former executive of Millet, Rip Curl, Oakley and Jules, Olivier has headed up the Private Sport Shop since 2018. He will contribute his considerable experience in iconic sports brand development to growing Moustache Bikes. To this end, Olivier will be supported by Romain Berthet, a stalwart figure at Moustache for seven years, who has acted as Director of Operations and will take up the position of Deputy CEO.
This new management team will be supported by Moustache Bikes co-founders, Emmanuel Antonot and Greg Sand, who will become Vice Chairmen of the Company’s Supervisory Board from 1 January 2022. Fully committed to embarking on Moustache’s next adventure, they will focus on the strategic development of the Vosges-based company in eastern France, with the aim of becoming the European leader for electric bicycles.

Olivier Cantet’s Biography
Olivier has more than 20 years of experience at the head of major sports companies. He first relaunched Millet, an iconic French brand of high mountain equipment, and led the Lafuma Group for 5 years. As Group CEO of Rip Curl, one of the world’s three surf brands, for 10 years, he intensified the internationalization of the brand, offerings and organizations. Olivier Cantet also led Oakley, the world’s #1 sports eyewear brand, accelerating its success in the sports and optical networks in Europe. In 2018, Olivier participated in the buyout of Private Sport Shop, which he then co-managed. This 100% sports e.com site has very quickly become the European #1 in this segment thanks to the 14M members, in 7 countries of this original shopping club. Olivier is an active investor in sports-related start-ups: Fatmap.com, Satisfy Running, Everide.app.
He is the volunteer president of the ESSEC 60,000 Alumni Association and a member of the Supervisory Board of ESSEC Business School Group.
Sport is an important part of his professional and personal life. Passionate about cycling, he enjoys riding in the Alps and the Pyrenees. Alpinist and skier since his teenage years, he continues to practice his passion at a high level in the Mont Blanc massif. Former player of the Stade Français, he has been immersed in the team spirit since his childhood.
Olivier is 56 years old, father of 3 adorable children. He lived and worked in Annecy, Biarritz, Melbourne, Zurich, Montpellier and Chamonix.
