June 5, 2022 - Pedal Poll will be on June 7th and June 11th in Calgary. Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo is a nation wide project by Velo Canada Bikes to gather data to see who is cycling, and more importantly, who is missing. This helps us push for safe and effective cycling options for everyone. You can see last year’s Calgary results below.
As a volunteer you will be tracking everyone that comes by on a bike at your location. The Calgary Count Locations are: 1. Silver Springs Blvd @ 72nd St NW: North and south boulevard, east of 72 St NW 2. Country Hills Blvd, west of Nose Hill Dr NW: North boulevard, east of PetroCanada gas station 3. Harvest Hills Blvd @ Panamount Blvd NE: North of Panamount, east and west boulevard 4. Charleswood Dr NW at Northmount Drive NW: East boulevard of Charleswood, south of Northmount 5. Saddletowne Circle @ Martindale Dr NE: East boulevard, just south of Saddletowne Circle 6. 26 Av SW at 69 ST SW: South side of 26 Ave SW, west of 69 St 7. 2 St NW, north of 11 Ave NW (Crescent Heights HS): West boulevard, north of alley between 11 & 12 Av NW 8. 5th St SW @ 21st Ave SW: West boulevard, just north of 21 Av SW 2nd St SW @21st Ave SW 9. 2nd St SW @ 21st Ave SW: East boulevard, just north of 21st Ave SW 10. 19th Ave SE @ 26th ST SE: Up the hill from the Bow Waters Canoe Club, before the pathway fork 11. 52th St SE @ Whitehorn Pathway: East boulevard, north of mid-block crosswalk at Whitehorn pathway crossing 12. 50th Ave SW @ 21st St SW: South boulevard, first power pole west of 21 St SW 13. 52nd St SE @ McKenzie Towne Blvd: East boulevard, south of McKenzie Town Avenue SE 14. Cantrell Dr SW, North of Canyon Meadows Station: Just north of C-Train entrance from Cantrell 15. Midlake Blvd SE @ Midnapore School: East of Midridge Road (both sides)Shift Times (You only need to sign up for 1 shift): June 7 7:00 – 9:00 AM 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM 2:00 – 4:00 PM 4:00 – 6:00 PM June 11 Noon – 2:00 PM *If you are not available June 7th then June 8th or 9th can be used.
