June 6, 2022 - P.E.I. residents can now receive a $500 rebate on the purchase of an e-bike with a retail value of at least $1,200, and $100 rebate for new bicycles with a retail price up to $2,000.

The purpose of the program is to encourage greater adoption of Active Transportation options among Islanders as e-bikes are a cleaner and more efficient mode of transportation when compared to single passenger vehicles.

Residents are eligible for one e-bike rebate per calendar year while non-profits, businesses, and public agencies are eligible for up to five e-bike rebates per calendar year. The program is retroactive and any e-bikes purchased after April 1, 2022 may be eligible for a rebate.
