July 21, 2022 - (Frankfurt, GER) With the opening of this year’s Eurobike 2022 trade fair at the new location in Frankfurt am Main, the e-cargo bike pioneers from Urban Arrow once again presented themselves as innovative pioneers in their segment.
In addition to a smaller Post & Parcel 800 Box for the Tender 1000 frame as a cargo bike for flexible transport solutions in the business customer area, Urban Arrow also presented its innovative IoT project under the name “Urban Arrow Connected” for the first time.
Urban Arrow Post & Parcel 800 Box for Tender 1000
With the Post & Parcel 800 transport box, Urban Arrow is expanding its modular range of tender cargo models, which, as three-wheeled e-cargo bikes, skilfully combine bicycle and automotive technology for transport tasks in the business customer sector.
Under the motto “Smaller Size Matters”, the Post & Parcel 800 box with a capacity of 800 liters joins the larger version Post & Parcel 1300 with a capacity of 1,300 liters. Both boxes fit on the Urban Arrow Tender 1000 frame.
Up to six Euroboxes in the standard size of 60 cm x 40 cm x 32 cm can be stacked in two rows in the Post & Parcel 800 box. There is also space above the front wheel arches: two more standard-size Euroboxes can be stacked here and two half-height Euroboxes above them. With Post & Parcel 800, up to 10 Euroboxes can be transported with just one load.
Clear view & agility
When designing the product, Urban Arrow paid attention to an unobstructed view. For this purpose, the height of the Post & Parcel 800 box was lowered, which significantly improves visibility and enables an optimal view of the road. Intelligent lines in the design enable comparably high loading capacity despite the lower height of the box. This allows drivers to continue to transport a maximum of cargo while remaining in control and maneuvering safely and confidently through streets.
In addition to its elegant design, the Post & Parcel 800 box also impresses with its innovative technology. An integrated RFID module enables the box to be opened and closed quickly, easily and securely. Fumbling with keys for every delivery is now a thing of the past. With the extra wide handle, the box is easy to open and close. This enables more efficient and therefore more cost-effective deliveries.
Designed for individual corporate branding & longevity
With the Post & Parcel 800 Box, large volumes become agile and manoeuvrable. The innovative design also allows individual corporate branding. The box has been designed in such a way that it can easily be covered completely with side stickers or entire design sheets.
To enable intensive, daily use, the Post & Parcel 800 box is made of high-quality aluminium. This makes the box extremely light and durable. Particularly solid materials were also used for the locks, hinges and gas pressure springs.

Urban Arrow Connected
Innovative technology also plays a major role at Urban Arrow Connected in order to be able to offer e-cargo bike fans real added value. Urban Arrow’s IoT innovation combines cutting-edge connectivity between the e-cargo bike and the user’s smartphone with a modern mobile app that contains a digital maintenance booklet for the first time. Urban Arrow is the first company in the cargo bike industry to give private drivers even better control over the condition and maintenance requirements of their e-cargo bikes, which is ultimately reflected in the driving experience and driving safety.
Thanks to Urban Arrow Connected and the associated app, users are informed in good time about necessary maintenance, so problems are recognized even earlier and can be solved before they become acute and affect driving safety. Urban Arrow looks to the future and recognizes that such assistance software in the form of mobile apps is gaining in importance, especially with the increasingly intensive use of e-cargo bikes.
Urban Arrow Connected also includes anti-theft protection. The integrated GPS module with an internet data connection offers 4 years of permanent connectivity. After the 4 years, users can purchase a contract extension.
The mobile app provides insights into usage data and the current location of the e-cargo bike. If the anti-theft protection is activated, the bicycle theft can be reported directly. In the Netherlands, a return service in the event of theft is already available if you have taken out the relevant insurance. Urban Arrow is examining cooperation with insurers for such return services in other countries.
The necessary hardware in the e-cargo bike and the associated mobile app from Urban Arrow Connected is expected to be available for iOS and Android smartphones for the first time at the end of 2022.

Urban Arrow is also announcing updates to its current Family and Shorty models (for private use). At this year’s Eurobike, Urban Arrow is presenting, among other things, the performance and cargo line models of the Urban Arrow Family and Urban Arrow Shorty series with the latest motorization, the BOSCH e-bike system (BES3), and the associated new displays (BOSCH LED Remote and KIOX 300).
