March 6, 2023 - Montreal has made CNN’s top 10 best cities in the world to see by bicycle tweets the city’s proud, pro-cycling mayor, Valerie Plante.

Investing in bike infrastructure since the 1980s, Montreal boasts hundreds of kilometers of paths and lanes, with plans to expand, Montreal plans to add about 200 kilometers (125 miles) of protected, dedicated bike lanes over the next five years.

“This result can be explained by our vast cycling network and our Vision vélo 2023-27, which gives pride of place to active and safe mobility,” added Plante.
