December 3, 2023 - (Bloomington, IN) In mid-Nov. the City of Bloomington in Indiana announced it was offering up to $1,000 to residents to purchase e-bikes to expand its micro-mobility transportation options and support the city’s Climate Action Plan reported WBIW.com.
The city offered 30 vouchers worth $500 each, available to all residents who met the requirements, and 15 vouchers worth $1,000 each, available only to low-income residents, to be used at Revolution Bike and Bean or The Bicycle Garage.
But within the first week demand was so high that the city “… temporarily closed the voucher portal while we review current applications.”
