France to Include Refurbished eBikes, eCargo Bikes & Bicycles for Rebates up to €2,000

January 8, 2024 - An adult natural person with proof of residence in France, or a legal person with proof of establishment in France, can benefit from state aid of up to €2,000 to finance the purchase of a cycle. with or without pedal assistance, or an cargo bike designed to allow the transport of people or goods, or a cycle to meet the needs of people with disabilities, or a folding bicycle, or an electric trailer for cycles.

France extends rebates of up to €2,000 to refurbished e-bikes, e-cargo bikes and non electric bicycles. ©

In accordance with the commitments of the Prime Minister during the launch of the 2023-2027 cycling and walking plan, the first interministerial cycling and walking committee has set the extension of purchasing assistance until 2027, the end of the cycling and walking plan, as well as including this aid for second-hand bicycles sold by professionals as of January 1, 2024 .
