The award-winning products showcase a wide range of innovative approaches – with solutions recognised in the categories of bicycles, e-bikes, light electric vehicles up to 45 km/h, mini electric vehicles, components, accessories, clothing and accessories, digital solutions and mobility solutions and infrastructure. This year, the focus was particularly on the highly functional improvement of existing systems and the consideration of sustainable aspects. The topic of sustainability is not only evident in the areas of material reduction and recyclability, but also in the form of socially motivated concepts and circular solutions. “The Eurobike Award significantly contributes to the further development of outstanding product innovations and innovative approaches in the areas of bikes and e-mobility through its accolades, thereby making a significant contribution to accelerating the mobility transition,” says Dirk Heidrich, Eurobike Project Manager at fairnamic GmbH.

Awards: Gold Award, Start Up Award, Green Award
This year, the international jury of experts honoured a total of 43 particularly impressive products and projects, which were selected from a total of 300 submissions in a two-stage selection process and evaluated according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, design, processing quality, choice of materials and sustainability.

A total of eleven of the award-winning products were honoured with the “Gold Award”:

• Pikapak 2.0, Pikapak UG
• Lax Cycles, Lax Cycles
• Circular logistics GmbH
• Son 29 S, Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau
• Sram Red AXS, Sram
• Ursus Invisible Connect R97 With Ans, Ursus Spa
• World Bicycle Relief – Buffalo Bicycle Utility S2, World Bicycle Relief
• Riese & Müller Carrie Vario, Riese & Müller GmbH
• Tern Orox, Mobility Holdings, Ltd.
• Ca Go Bike – Cs200 Exklusive, Ca Go Bike GmbH
• Diem 10, Orbea Sociedad Cooperativa

In the “E-bikes” category, the jury honoured the “Tern Orox” cargo bike as an innovation that combines the robustness of a mountain bike, the versatility of a trekking bike and the practical benefits of a cargo bike and impresses with well thought-out details and perfect handling. With “Ursus Invisible Connect R97 With Ans”, an innovative solution for bicycle stands was awarded in the “Components” category, which optimises both the functionality and stability of the stands and at the same time impresses with its sustainable claim. In the “Concepts, mobility solutions and infrastructure” category, the jury recognised Circular Logistics GmbH’s solution, which revolutionises bicycle shipping with a waste-free concept, as a promising approach towards a circular economy in the bicycle industry.

The “Green Award” went to the “Verde Kineticore” helmet for its sustainability and material reduction: at least 70 per cent of its weight is made from recycled materials, including old CDs. The “Start Up Award” went to the world’s first parcel backpack “Pikapak 2.0”, which also received the gold award. The backpack offers an innovative, flexible and environmentally friendly solution for transporting objects or parcels within the city – and can therefore change urban transport in the long term.

The award-winning products and projects will be exhibited at Eurobike 2024 until 7 July in Hall 8 of Messe Frankfurt. Further information on the Eurobike Award can be found here.
