July 8, 2024 - (Frankfurt, GER) CYCLR-FLEX, the world’s first extendable e-cargo bike, debuted a prototype at Eurobike 2024 following 6+ years of development by Dutch designer Nikolaï Carels in conjunction with Vroegh Design, a leading Dutch design and engineering agency.
Electric cargo bikes are rapidly gaining popularity worldwide as an eco-friendly alternative to cars but their size can be a factor for parking, storage and manoeuvrability – the new CYCLR-FLEX presents an innovative solution.
The patented bearing/sliding technology allows the cargo bike’s front box, with a max weight of 175kg, to easily extend and compact, so transporting children or groceries is a breeze – watch here.
“Experience the freedom and convenience of eco-friendly transportation with the CYCLR-FLEX, where practicality meets style,” according to Vroegh Design.
With a reported retail price of around 7,500 Euros the company hopes to bring the new e-cargo bike to the EU market in 2025.
