August 1, 2024 - (Chicago, IL) Over the last four years, Chicago has seen significant growth in cycling trips across the city resulting from continued investments in expanding and improving the city’s bike network reports Replica.
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) worked with Replica to analyze biking trends and the results validated the agency’s “Chicago Cycling Strategy” to create a cycling system that better serves everyone.
“Chicago has seen a huge growth in biking in recent years, a trend that has been true across demographics and in every neighborhood. Replica data reflects what we’ve been seeing and hearing across communities – interest and enthusiasm for biking throughout Chicago has never been greater,” said Dave Smith, Director of Complete Streets at CDOT.
