5th Annual Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo 2025 is Taking Place June 3 to 8 – Time to Claim Your Shift

release by Velo Canada Bikes

May 29, 2025 - Our fifth annual Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo is taking place June 3 to 8. The count is a chance to evaluate the state of cycling in our communities. Together we get a “snapshot” of what cycling looks like in communities across Canada, at the same time, year over year.

Join the 2025 Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo today… the data collected helps build the case for more, and better, cycling infrastructure. ©

The data collected helps build the case for more, and better, cycling infrastructure. This growing data set is there for everyone to use to advocate for access to safe cycling choices for everyone, everywhere.

There are 33 communities across Canada with established count sites and chances are you in one of them.

Why join Canada’s national bicycle count in your community?
• To protect existing bike infrastructure by proving that it is well used.
• To advocate for better bike infrastructure in your community.
• To measure changes over time.
• To send the message that evidence matters to people like you.
• To get outside and enjoy some beautiful spring weather.
• To contribute to a national community science project.
• To celebrate World Bicycle Day on Tuesday, June 3rd!

There are countless reasons to count. Whatever your reason, we invite you to join us for Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo!
