Oonee Announces New York’s 1st Dutch-inspired Parking & Service Center Hub for Cyclists

Oonee is making history again as they announce the launch of New York City’s first indoor bicycle parking & service hub in Sunset Park, a new development in one of Brooklyn’s most densely populated neighborhoods.

This is Oonee’s first “Hub” concept, a Dutch-inspired, dense facility that can park a large number of bikes, while providing commuters with essential services like charging, battery swapping and quick, basic repairs.

This represents the first time that a public bicycle parking & services facility has been built into a new development as part of a community benefits agreement (“CBA.”)

Key features include will include: 24/7 Parking, 24/7 Safe Charging & Battery Swapping, Fast Fixes & Repairs, Transit Integration and more. The Hub is expected to launch in late December.

According to Oonee, “This announcement also represents the culmination of our Hub & Node vision. To make secure parking & charging universally available, we’re building a single network of small, medium and large facilities across the metro region — at a scale that has both enough reach and capacity for everyone. And with New York’s commitment to a game-changing plan for a network of 500 secure-parking stations, the future is brighter than ever.”
