May 2, 2026 - Switzerland offers incredible cycling opportunities from Lake Geneva to the Rhone Valley, the Rhine River and more, including the famous Swiss Alps where electric mountain bike adventures are the new rage.

There are numerous local tour companies offering many stellar options including E-Alps Adventures, which launched eight years ago and specializes in exploring the Alps. The brainchild of Quebec entrepreneur Georges Saad, E-Alps claims to be the largest eMTB tour company in Switzerland with a fleet of 120 electric mountain bikes that are updated each year.
With almost a dozen package tours available, ranging from their signature Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, to the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Family and Friends Haute Route, their cycling adventures are accessible to riders of all skill levels who are ready to enjoy and experience the wonder of the Alps.

Their Alpine Discovery Haute Route is a scaled down version of E-Alps’ signature Chamonix to Zermatt route, which makes this legendary two-wheel journey more accessible. During this unique 7-day crossing riders can take in spectacular scenery and mountain views from Mont Blanc to the renowned Matterhorn, while enjoying luxury hotels and local gastronomy.
The journey begins with a 23km route from Chamonix to Verbier as your e-bike helps you climb through the stunning Chamonix Valley and you cross into Switzerland for a true Swiss cheese fondue and a spa at the end of your day in the saddle.

Then it’s on to Nendaz, with views of majestic Grand Combin for an authentic alpine experience, where you’ll finish the journey at the comfortable Hotel Nendaz 4 Vallées and another beautiful spa.
The next day sends you across the entire four Vallées ski area as your e-bike covers the vast alpine playground with ease. Enjoy a well-earned break at the summit featuring panoramic views for stunning photos and another memo- rable day.
The longest stage awaits as you tackle a 56km route with 2,100m of elevation to Val d’Anniviers and the inviting turquoise waters of Lac de Moiry, a great spot for a picnic break at the foot of the Moiry Glacier. Back in the saddle, enjoy breathtaking views of 4,000-metre peaks before arriving at Hotel Bella Tola in Saint-Luc after an amazing day in the mountains.

Day 5 sees a more relaxed rhythm for your 38km journey to Bürchen. Travel through rolling green pastures and past traditional wooden chalets that capture the spirit of the region for another satisfying day on two wheels.
The final 45km route to Zermatt builds with anticipation as you ride through a beautiful forest that leads to a breathtaking panoramic view over the valley below. A majestic reward awaits as your wheels take you over one last climb and around one final bend to finally see the iconic Matterhorn in all its glory.
Any two-wheel adventure through the Swiss Alps will leave an indelible mark. Whatever your cycling passion, Switzerland is ready to take you to new heights.
