Rob McMonagle (EASI), Chris Clark (Whistler Adventure School), and Zoé Kruchten (Canadian Bicycle Industry Skills Coalition) will discuss the challenges shops face in recruiting and developing qualified technicians, how changing technology is reshaping skill requirements, and where training and certification may be headed next. They’ll also introduce the Canadian Bicycle Mechanic Workforce Survey, the first national effort to better understand Canada’s bicycle mechanic workforce and establish a baseline for future workforce development and training strategies.
