March 24, 2021 - Recently it was reported that German eBike brand Ruff Cycles has teamed up with none other than Paul Teutul Jr., one of the most well-known personalities of the motorcycle world and star of popular TV show “American Chopper“.
Paul Jr. rose to fame from his globally know shown, American Chopper. In his career, he has founded “Orange County Choppers“ together with his father and in 2009 Paul Jr. started his own design- and motorcycle company “Paul Jr. Designs“ and has built one-offs for clients such as the MLB and for Hollywood productions.
The first outcome of this extraordinary partnership between Ruff Cycles and Paul Jr. Designs will be the „PJD-E“ Ruffian eBike. “I’m super excited to be launching the PJD electric bicycle. As you can see I took inspiration from my build off 2 motorcycle in an amazing coordinated effort with ruff cycles.” says Paul Jr.With this “Build Off 2“ bike, he won the build-off airing live from Las Vegas 2012 on “American Chopper“ between Paul Jr., OCC, Jesse James and Gas Monkey Garage.
Powered by the latest Bosch Performance CX drive with 85 nm torque, the “PJD-E“ is equipped with a 500Wh battery, which enables a reach of about 60 miles per charge. The step- less enviolo hub in combination with the maintenance-free Gates carbon drive will care for a smooth riding experience.
