BC Cycling Coalition’s New 2023 Adult Cycling and eBiking Education Grant Apply by May 31st

release by the BC Cycling Coalition

May 5, 2023 - The BC Cycling Coalition is excited to announce a *new* 2023 Adult Cycling and E-biking Education Grant! Applications are open, but deadline is May 31st, so act fast!

The grant program aims to promote cycling as transportation in B.C. ©

The purpose of the grant is to encourage and promote cycling as transportation throughout the province of British Columbia with a special focus on smaller regional centres and towns and rural communities. It will also support those interested in, or who have recently purchased, e-bikes and how to use them safely and confidently to cycle for everyday transportation.

The one-time $12,000 grant program will support small scale regional/community-based groups that seek to provide adult or family cycling education opportunities in their communities this year.

The grant provides up to $12,000 of funding this year, with a maximum of $5,000 per project e.g. = 5 courses over 5 days). Grant requests above $1,000 should include more than one course or event with an approximate maximum funding of $1,000/course (e.g. = half to one day course). BCCC will make the final adjudication for each submission. For this intake funding is available to successful applicants for projects taking place from May 1, 2023, through October 31, 2023. Project activities outside this time frame will not be considered.

Grant Goal
Provide 10-12 adult or family in person cycling education courses/events throughout BC, excluding Metro Vancouver and Capital Region
