Belgian Company Launches Innovative Charging Stations for eBikes

by eBikes International

January 1, 2021 - Streetwaves, a start-up company in Antwerp, Belgium, has launched an innovative all-in-one parking unit for electric bicycles following the surge in e-bike sales reports Gazet Van Antwerpen.

The new Havn allows users to park their e-bike effortlessly, safely charge the battery, and store all belongings in a handy locker with mirror and hooks.

“In this way we want to offer long-distance cyclists the same comfort and safe feeling as the motorist when they go on an excursion,” said Axel Verstrael of Streetwaves to the Gazet.

Verstrael is one of the four entrepreneurs behind Streetwaves that believes the current surge of e-bikes will continue. There are over 700,000 e-bikes in the country but “…that number will increase even further in these times of corona – today more people prefer the bicycle to public transport.”

Streetwaves is also targeting companies that believe in sustainable mobility and are open to initiatives that support e-biking.
