January 4, 2026 - The NBDA regularly brings together industry experts to address risks, concerns, and best practices in lithium-ion battery and e-mobility device safety, standards, and compliance. With the rapid growth of e-mobility, retailers, suppliers, and consumers alike face evolving risks, regulations, and standards that demand clarity and alignment.

Our goal is to bring retailers, suppliers, advocacy organizations, and technical experts together in panel discussions focused on practical solutions that enhance safety, support compliance, and protect both businesses and riders. All interested parties are invited to attend or participate. The Retailer-Focused E-Bike Safety & Standards Panel meets three times per year for a 60-minute session, covering two timely topics selected from member input.
Panel Organization:
One month before each panel, NBDA members are invited to submit topics for consideration, ranging from legislation and economic challenges to ridership growth, supplier relations, safety, and more. NBDA leadership then selects the most relevant submissions for the upcoming event and invites 2-3 expert speakers per topic from our established panel of retailers, suppliers, advocacy organizations, and other industry leaders.
An agenda is shared in advance, and all sessions encourage discussion and live Q&A from attendees. Each panel is recorded and posted on the NBDA YouTube channel for continued access.
