June 1, 2022 - Bike Month is an opportunity for people to try riding a bike for the first time, learn new skills, or simply have fun and connect with new people. It’s taking the time to rekindle the youthful magic of exploring your neighbourhood by bike or share that joy with the next generation of bike riders. Bike Month is a celebration of cycling.
Be sure to check out the Bike Month Events Calendar and events like the Midtown E-Bike Fair on June 4 – you can sort and browse dozens of community bike events that have already been posted, or you can post your own! And take the Bike Month Pledge.
Let’s ride around the world together!
Starting May 30, 2022 you’ll be able to log all the rides you take during Bike Month. We’ll tally them up here to see how far we’ve ridden together and how much greenhouse gas emissions we’ve saved. Let’s try to beat last year’s record and bike 2x around the world – that’s 80,000 km!
Residents of Toronto, Oakville, York Region, and Peel Region who log their rides in our kilometer counter will even be entered to win a prize from Patagonia, Tim Hortons, and Loblaws!
