Bike to School Week is Back May 30 to June 3 in Toronto, York, Peel & Halton Regions Win Prizes

May 30, 2022 - Bike to School Week is back May 30 to June 3 in Toronto, York Region, Peel Region and Halton Region. Communities that embrace active school travel help their kids lead healthier lifestyles and improve their school performance, while also reducing traffic and pollution and making school zones safer for vulnerable road users. Also, being able to bike to school with your friends is just plain fun!

Following a brief pause during Ontario’s learn-from-home period in 2021, we’re thrilled to announce the return of Bike To School Week in 2022. Running May 30 to June 3, Bike to School Week invites students in Ontario to celebrate the joy and possibilities of riding a bike!

Schools in Ontario are encouraged to register for Bike to School Week using the form below and receive a suite of resources and materials to help organize bike-friendly events in a school environment.

After you register, we’ll follow-up by email to share some materials to get you started.

Educators from across Ontario are also invited to check out some of our general resources for cycling with children and youth.

Prizes Announced for Bike to School Week!

We’re excited to announce that prizes have been added to the Bike to School Week offering! Any school that has registered on or before June 3, will be entered into a prize draw to win the following:

Prize winners will be contacted in mid-June using the email address provided in the Bike to School Week registration form.
