by Benjamin Sadavoy

August 7, 2025 - Bikebook, a UK-based free digital online platform that helps to connect consumers with bike shops and mechanics, recently launched in the United States and Canada following success and rapid growth in the UK since launching its operations in 2021.

Alongside their bike shop and mechanics free service directory, it also supports businesses with its Workshop module, tailored specifically for bicycle businesses with an all-in-one Customer Relationship Management (CRM), workflow, tech department management, POS, inventory management, messaging features and more.

Over 400 UK businesses have integrated their Workshop management system which in the USA costs $89 per month and includes a free trial.

As part of their launch in the USA Bikebook became an Associate Member of the National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) providing members with discounted Workshop services, business consulting, educational content, enhanced community interaction along with supporting the NBDA’s upcoming mechanic certification program.

“North America presents a really exciting prospect for Workshop by bikebook, with the majority of businesses using expensive and non-cycling specific alternatives to manage their workflows,” commented Bikebook co-founder Ryan Elson. “We’re presenting a much more cost-effective tool tailored specifically to their needs, which can be quickly and easily integrated.”

Bikebook currently has 88 bicycle retailers and mechanics listed their US service directory with 38 using their Workshop by bikebook platform. “It’s going really well and we have 150 more to on-board to our directory,” commented Elson.

In collaboration with the NBDA, Bikebook will also conduct retailer education webinar series: Unlock Your Bike Business’s Potential: The Power of Software. Additionally, the company will offer their expertise in podcast episodes with NBDA representatives, highlighting the strategic importance of software solutions for business optimisation.

Bikebook is now making headway in Canada and has formed a partnership with Hamilton-based Micromobility Connect that offers online training classes for bike shops and mechanics for e-bike repairs, lithium battery maintenance and more.

Elson recently made stops in Montreal, Winnipeg and Nova Scotia and indicated that their Workshop in Canada is estimated to cost $119-$129 per month and their team is also working on the Canadian language selection.

“We’ll be ready to go in Canada very soon. Our future plans are to also partner with more schools as we push our graduate programme – this is to assist those who have just started out, to launch their business using a robust system, such as our Workshop module,” added Elson.
