August 17, 2025 - The Bosch eMTB Challenge, a one-of-a-kind race that combines eMTB racing with navigation and endurance, included a stop this year in Whistler, BC, at the 20th anniversary edition of Crankworx. Other stops in 2025 include Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Spain.

Set against the legendary terrain of Whistler Mountain Bike Park and the surrounding Valley Trails, riders took on a challenging course with 1,000m-1,500m elevation gain, navigating a mix of timed stages and untimed transfer segments.
The route, only revealed the morning of the race, featured both technical descents and “no-feet” uphill challenges where balance and pedal management were key – any foot down incurred a 5-second penalty. Plus, no outside assistance is permitted, including battery swaps, which must be carried by the rider.
Participants competed solo across three categories: Amateur (5 Stages, 18km + 1,050m elevation), Advanced (6 Stages, 23km + 1,300m elevation), and new this year Pro (7 Stages, 24km + 1,500m elevation). Price money per gender: $800 – $600 – $200.
Canada’s Remi Gauvin took the Pro Men’s victory with a winning overall time of 26:54.4, followed by Australia’s Shane Gayton in second with Alex Gabriel (Can) in third. The USA’s Kera Linn took the Pro Women’s win in 32:07.4 followed by Zoe Dawson (Can) in second and Sylvie Allen (Can) in third.
