October 29, 2021 - The Brose Drive TF Mag is one of the lightest, most compact, top-performing e-bike drive systems on the market. Weighing in at 2.9kg, the magnesium version is 500 grams lighter than its aluminum cousin. The horizontal and vertical applications, along with 15% space savings, allows even more customized e-bike frame integration designs from cycling manufacturers.
Engineered for speed, the Drive TF Mag, with a 250-watt brushless internal rotor style motor, offers the standard 25kph of pedal-assist up to a maximum speed of 45kph. With a massive 90Nm of torque and up to 400% support, you’re assured of fast starts from a dead stop and quick lane-changing acceleration. Renowned for running extremely quietly with minimal vibrations, there is no pedalling resistance when the motor is switched off.
The Drive TF Mag includes walk- assist up to 6kph and works in harmony with the Brose Battery 630 along with a choice of three bar-mounted displays to suit the individual needs of the rider.
To customize e-bike experiences and to provide important ride data, Brose has also developed an app that allows you to not only manage the e-bike from your smartphone, but to also share your ride experience with friends.
The current app version is compatible with select e-bike brands that use Brose’s drive systems, with plans to add additional brands in the future. The app is currently only available in Austria and Germany, but it will soon be available in other countries and expanded to include more languages.
While the Brose Drive TF Mag has 400% assistance, why does the Drive TF Alum only have 280%? They are both 90Nm torque.
