Colville-Andersen shows the imbalance in cities, and the practicality of how the bicycle has the potential to transform cities around the world.
While city bikes are used for 62% of commutes in Copenhagen they only get 7% of space vs cars which are used for 9% of commutes yet receive 54% of space.
According to data from the City of Copenhagen driving a car one kilometre costs society 89 cents – but cycling the same distance benefits society by 26 cents.
