October 11, 2020 - Pirelli has become one of the few global manufacturers to release an eMTB-specific tire with the launch of their new Scorpion lineup. Tubeless-ready and aimed at trail and enduro riders, the new tires incorporate all the concepts already introduced in their regular Scorpion MTB line, but with some added advantages. Centred around Pirelli’s new SmartGRIP+ material that provides additional tire support under higher- than-normal torque settings for eMTB bikes, the outcome
is more grip on both the ups and the downs. Featuring the company’s patent-pending HyperWALL technology for sidewall puncture protection, the new Scorpions are also one of the lightest eMTB tires on the market, and they are available in both 29×2.6” and 27.5×2.6” options.
