September 28, 2025 - In July, BIXI Montréal launched the world’s first fleet of trailers specifically designed to be integrated into its bike- sharing network.

Entirely designed and assembled in Montréal, the trailer is another step forward in BIXI’s sustainable mobility revolution, offering a solution that opens the way to a multitude of practical uses. This fleet continues to position Montréal as a hub of innovation in mobility in North America.

The new service has been designed for maximum simplicity. Users can rent a trailer via the BIXI application, attach it to the bike of their choice (BIXI or personal), and return it to any station in the network after use.

Tested in real-life conditions, the trailer has been optimized to withstand the intensive use and urban realities of Montréal.

Pricing is affordable, ranging from $4-$8 for four hours. An initial batch of 10 trailers has been deployed with a plan to reach a total of 50 units over the summer.
