Brose Drive S Mag System Improved

release by Brose

May 22, 2019 - The new award-winning 2019 Brose Drive S Mag system has been e-mountain-bike optimized, and is designed especially for riders looking for confidence on steep, technical terrain. A whopping 15% smaller than the current Drive S motor, the newest addition to the Brose line-up has a big punch in a little package. Featuring a magnesium motor housing, it is 500g lighter and now offers 30% more support with its new Flex Power technology.

Exclusively available with the Drive S Mag, the new Flex Power mode is a combination of two software features: Cadence Power Control (CPC), which enables up to 30% more support at higher cadences; and Progressive Pedal Response (PPR), which provides a fast-drive response when pressure is applied to the pedals.

Maximum power has been improved, with up to 90Nm of torque now accessible on a wider cadence range. The new motor delivers a pushing support of 6kph and a maximum support up to 25kph while riding. The system has been optimized for increased efficiency on climbs, as it uses instant power output to achieve a more controlled pedaling experience.

The Drive S Mag system won the Design & Innovation Award 2019 in the Components (Off-road) category. The jury members not only analyze the products theoretically, they also test the components to determine their actual added value to the rider. For more information, visit www.brose-ebike.com. – CH
