October 28, 2021 - In August, Canada Post began testing e-cargo trikes in selected areas of downtown Montréal as an
environmentally friendly option to deliver packages.
The corporation purchased two trikes for the 3-month pilot in collaboration with the City of Montréal, Coop Carbone and Jalon. Montréal already operates the Colibri project for e-cargo bike deliveries in conjunction with Purolator and other courier companies.
The project is intended to help Canada Post assess the viability of trikes as delivery vehicles, along with best safe- work procedures and design features for a sustainable future
