April 17, 2023 - Launched in July 2022, Georgian Trail E-Bikes Rentals has seen rapid success, growing from eight e-bikes to 13 in only a few months. Embraced by the South Georgian Bay area community, the start-up rapidly connected with the local cycling community, as their novel “contactless” rental program caters to folks who want to explore further.

Riding the e-bike boom, the company credits their success in part to several industry connections they made early on such as the Collingwood Climate Action, the Apple Pie Trail, and Ontario by Bike. Cycling is also huge in South Georgian Bay with extensive trail networks and some of the most scenic views in the province. The company has the new e-bike brand Himiway in stock, and they offer purchase options as well.

In March 2023, they won an Ontario by Bike “Best Bicycle Friendly Business” award and are excited about their expansion plans which include opening three new locations and carrying 22 rental e-bikes. They’re also planning to team up with a Bed & Breakfast (as part of their summer vacation packages), continue their membership with the Apple Pie Trail, join the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO), and become GreenStep certified.
