May 4, 2024 - At the Japanese Mobility Show last November, Honda unveiled its eMTB Concept prototype, as the auto giant considers including the growing e-bike market as part of its future mobility strategy. The full-suspension e-mountain bike prototype model on display offered few details in the company’s brief release, “The Honda eMTB Concept expands the field of mobility in nature. It is being developed to enable anyone to enjoy riding mountainous trails more freely.” Several outlets suggest that it’s powered by a Brose motor with SRAM Eagle AXS drivetrain and Shimano disc brakes, along with front and rear suspension via Fox and a RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post.
