October 28, 2021 - Pon Holdings, based in Holland, is acquiring Dorel Sports, owned by Canada’s Dorel Industries, to create the world’s largest cycling company. The company now encompasses 15 top brands with revenues totalling around 2.5 billion euros.
Pon has now realized its strategy to build a complete portfolio of premium and e-bike brands covering all categories. Pon.Bike now owns Cannondale, Schwinn, Caloi, Gazelle, Swapfiets, Kalkhoff, Cervélo, Focus, Santa Cruz, Mongoose, GT, Urban Arrow, BBB Cycling and others.
Pon.Bike has around 2,400 employees and 70% of its sales are e-bikes. In August of this year, it acquired Mike’s Bikes, with 270 employees and 12 locations, bolstering its strength in the US market.
Pon.Bike operates in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia with leading brands.
Pon Holdings, the largest mobility group in the Netherlands, has 14,000 employees and around 7.5 billion euro in revenue.
