September 28, 2025 - Bosch’s new Performance Line PX e-drive system is designed for demanding bike rides, weekend trips and extended bike- packing excursions.

With up to 90 Newton metres of torque, 700 watts of power and assistance of up to 400%, the Performance Line PX weighs approximately 2.9 kilograms. The smart sensor technology responds precisely to pedal input and provides natural support.
The new system also recognizes start-up situations and provides a powerful boost when needed. Smart functions such as walk assist or hill start assist make handling easier when starting uphill or on steeper terrain — a nice feature when touring with heavy luggage.

With the eBike Flow app, you can also customize the unit’s performance values. For example, the maximum torque can be increased on tours with many inclines and heavy luggage. If you are riding on long flat stages, you can reduce the motor support and thus optimize your range.
The drive unit provides quiet support, and with Auto mode you can simply keep pedalling, even on ascents and into headwinds, as this mode automatically provides optimum support.
Riders can also activate eShift, an electronic gear-shifting solution via the eBike Flow app, to automatically shift to the appropriate gear according to the individually selected cadence. Currently eShift is available with shifting systems from enviolo and TRP, and now includes shifting systems from Shimano as well.

Two new functions with a Flow+ subscription include a 3D map display of the terrain and an elevation graph of the immediate surroundings. It also provides the ability to see an annual overview of all rides including distance travelled, trip time and elevation.
Bosch’s ABS braking system is also available to assist in Allroad mode when travelling downhill with fully loaded panniers, or if the route takes you over slippery gravel or wet forest paths. Precise sensors in the Performance Line PX measure the inclination and speed of the e-bike to ensure optimum brake support. The Performance Line PX is available in conjunction with Bosch eBike ABS with brakes from Magura, TRP and Shimano.
Finally, Bosch has taken various measures to reduce its product’s carbon footprint by using approximately 40% recycled aluminum in the housing of the drive unit, cutting CO2 emissions by almost half, and by using recycled plastic for several components in the drive unit.
