The new lightweight Desiknio e-bike also features Mahle’s integrated 240Wh battery, a maintenance-free Pinion gearbox, and a Gates carbon belt drive for a sleek, lightweight and virtually maintenance-free electric bicycle.

Mahle’s X20, touted as the lightest system on the market, weighing only 3.2kg, offers a frictionless 55Nm of torque and a seamless start/stop functionality to the system’s assistance. The X20 won the Eurobike Innovators Prize in 2022, and it also took home a Design & Innovation Award in 2023.

At Eurobike, Mahle’s One ecosystem presented some new connectivity features designed to enhance the riding experience including Smart Assist, a personalized mode that adapts the inclination of the terrain and the weight of the user to the X20 system for a smoother, more seamless and intuitive execution.

Another convenient new feature allows riders to update the system software in just a few minutes using their mobile phone from the My SmartBike app via Bluetooth.

In addition, Mahle SmartBike Systems was pleased to offer Strava Integration. Riders can now record their activities with any device that can be linked to the platform. Once uploaded, the activity can be imported into the My SmartBike App, allowing two-way communication between the two platforms.

Finally, Mahle introduced a new Routing feature that allows riders to create routes based on their Strava activities or a GPX file, and also receive guidance and instructions to enhance the route along the way with the My SmartBike app.

Weighing only 1.1 kilograms, it’s touted as the lightest on the market with the best weight-to-capacity ratio; it also claims to be the only range extender on the market that fits into a standard bottle cage.

The new Energy Hub is a charging base for the Range Extender e185 that allows hassle-free charging by simply resting the e185 on the Energy Hub to start the charging process. The innovative hub can also charge other devices like cell phones or computers.

Also on display was Mahle’s next- gen X35+ e-drive system that provides great solutions for urban mobility, combining extremely light and ideal power performance, for more natural riding.
