European Cyclists’ Federation Announces the Appointment of Laurianne Krid as New CEO

September 1, 2025 - The European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurianne Krid as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2025. She succeeds Jill Warren, who stepped down at the end of July after five years of dedicated leadership.

Laurianne Krid brings extensive experience in European mobility, international organisations, and NGO leadership to ECF. Since 2017, she has served as Director-General of FIA Region I, representing mobility clubs and millions of members across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joined FIA in 2009, and prior to that, worked at the Assembly of European Regions in Strasbourg. Laurianne holds Master’s degrees in European Studies and International Relations.

“We are delighted to welcome Laurianne Krid as the new CEO of ECF,” said Henk Swarttouw, ECF President. “Her proven leadership in European mobility policy and her vision for sustainable transport will guide ECF into its next chapter. Laurianne is the right person to build on ECF’s achievements over the past five years and strengthen our impact advocating for more and better cycling for all.”

Reflecting on her appointment, Laurianne Krid said: “I’m thrilled to embark on this journey with ECF and I look forward to working with passionate individuals, staff and stakeholders to pursue ECF’s mission to ensure safer, more accessible and sustainable cycling. I’m very much looking forward to being part of this vibrant community.”

The ECF Board, staff and community warmly welcome Laurianne Krid and look forward to working with Laurianne to driving forward cycling policies, infrastructure and advocacy across Europe and beyond.
