release by Flyer AG

The product portfolio for the North American market includes a sporty, top-of-the-range mountain e-bike, two stylish compact models for the city and an e-bike tandem for unforgettable trips for two.

The long-established manufacturer, which has been successfully developing and selling e-bikes in Europe for 25 years, is looking for specialist dealer partners in the USA and Canada.

25 Years of Experience and Swiss Quality
The FLYER ® brand is well known and established in Europe, standing for Swiss quality, top-class design and effortless fun on and off the road. The company has been developing and assembling high-quality e-bikes at its headquarters in Switzerland for more than 25 years. The 350 highly-qualified employees working for the successful e-bike company always aim to get the most out of every bicycle.

“We see a great potential for e-bikes and the FLYER ® brand in the USA and Canada. We are convinced that plenty of people here will be wowed by our sporty FLYER ® mountain e-bikes as well as our modern and versatile urban models. Not only is the mountain e-bike sport slowly but surely becoming increasingly attractive in the USA and Canada; more and more North American are also discovering the e-bike for everyday use and leisure time in cities. Because an e-bike is often faster than a car, is a lot of fun, and keeps you healthy at the same time,” says Christian Müller, CSO/CTO of FLYER ® AG.

Apart from being the market leader on the domestic Swiss market, FLYER ® currently exports 75 % of its annual production (around 75,000 e-bikes a year) and successfully sells its premium e-bikes in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and France.

Attractive premium e-bikes – the FLYER ® portfolio for North America in detail

As passionate e-bikers, the developers at FLYER ® spend a lot of time out and about – preferably up in the local Swiss Alps. The team developed the FLYER ® Uproc6 with typical Swiss precision, guaranteeing both fun and performance in extreme terrain. The e-enduro boasts a highly engineered full carbon frame bristling with technical refinements. The four-link suspension design featuring 160 mm of travel, generously dimensioned bearings and specifically adapted rear shocks combines sensitive response characteristics with optimum support and the reserves of a downhill bike. The Bosch Performance Line CX drive with high-end sensors and 85 Nm of torque provides powerful assistance for even the steepest of trail sections.

The compact dimensions and modern, fresh design of the FLYER ® Upstreet1 promise great fun riding in the city. This high-quality, one-size e-bike is suitable for anyone between 4 and 6 feet tall. And if you’re pushed for space, the Upstreet1’s folding “brother” – the FLYER ® Upstreet2 – comes into its own. Thanks to its clever folding joint and stable frame, this urban speedster offers great riding stability and comfort. Both of the compact bikes are fitted with motors from the Bosch Performance Line, letting you get from A to B reliably, quickly and quietly.

The FLYER ® Tandem is a real eye-catcher and ideal for an e-bike adventure for two. The two cranks are decoupled by a freewheel to ensure optimum team performance. This lets the stoker pedal independently of the engine driver. Power is transmitted by a very durable, carbon-reinforced toothed belt. The elegantly integrated battery gives the FLYER ® Tandem a very low center of gravity whilst offering plenty of assistance and an extended range.
