April 13, 2021 - The bicycle market in France saw a 25% increase compared to 2019 with e-bikes seeing a strong surge of 29% as a record 514,672 electric-assisted bicycles were sold reports Union Sports Cycle.

Cargo bikes saw a whopping 345% increase as the overall bicycle now reaches more than 3 billion euros. In addition higher-priced quality bikes that are more comfortable for long-term use, are increasingly popular.

Aid for repairing bicycles along with the development of cycle paths also contributed by making cycling routes safer.
