Fully Charged Canada LIVE to Return to B.C.’s Vancouver Convention Center in 2024

release by Fully Charged LIVE

September 11, 2023 - (Vancouver, BC) The organizers of Fully Charged LIVE Canada have announced that due to the overwhelmingly positive response to this year’s inaugural event, they will be returning in 2024 for Fully Charged LIVE Canada-Two.

Multi award-winning Fully Charged LIVE made its Canadian debut at the Vancouver Convention Centre September 8-10. While final attendance figures have not yet been tabulated, the numbers are believed to be strong, with event goers sharing a common desire and commitment to decarbonization.

Fully Charged Founder Robert Llewellyn says the decision to make a return to Vancouver is a no-brainer.

“You can never be sure about the level of interest for an inaugural event, but we have been absolutely taken aback and overwhelmed by the warm welcome of British Columbians and Canadians, and a venue that is second to none.”

“Year-one provided a solid foundation to build on and as shows typically double in size for year two we can promise 2024 will be even bigger and better,” continued Llewellyn. “Expect more test drives, more home energy exhibits, more electric car launches and a theater program which will cover all the latest topics and issues.”

Some of the ‘Must See’ highlights of Fully Charged LIVE Canada 2023, included:

1. Many of the world’s top auto manufacturers including- Genesis, BMW, Porsche, Rivian, Polestar, Volvo, Ford, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, KIA, Subaru, Nissan, and Vinfast showcasing their latest advancements in electric vehicle technology.

2. Exclusive reveals including the Polestar-3, being shown to a Canadian audience for the first time ever; Hyundai unveiling the new 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric; and the 2024 BMW i5 making its first appearance in BC.

3. Nissan displaying the Ariya E-Force, the same model being featured in the World’s Most Epic Electric Road Trip: North Pole to South Pole challenge.

4. The Fully Charged LIVE Canada Test Drive area that included over 40 vehicles for attendees to get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle and try it out for themselves – the biggest EVER number of EVs for a test drive component in British Columbia.

5. A central theme of the event was the massive innovation taking place in micro-mobility vehicles, in the form of e-bikes and e-scooters, e-skateboards, electric unicycles, and one wheels as just a few examples. A test track allowed attendees to try out a wide range of micro-mobility vehicles.

6. SC Carts, a company from the Okanagan that builds fully electric and customized street legal carts (LSV- Low Speed Vehicles) displayed their offerings and had units available for test drive.

7. ENVO, a Vancouver-based company known for its commitment to sustainable transportation, introduced their latest addition, the Veemo Trike.

8. The Electrom Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) caught the eyes and the imagination of show-goers as the latest alternative to the automobile – a two two-wheeler with a unique combination of front and rear hub motor.

9. Joule Motorcycles of Burnaby displayed some of its latest innovations, including their first full-sized electric motorcycle, the Kollter RS1 PR High-Speed Highway Motorcycle.

10. The Commercial Vehicle Zone included a full range of vehicles – from electric buses for public transportation, electrified multi use commercial delivery vehicles to large, electrified Semi trucks and even an electrified refuse truck (to at least cut the emission smell). One of British Columbia’s leading innovators was featured; Edison Motors, a Merritt-based company building electric semi-trucks.

11. The Home Energy Advice Team (H.E.A.T.), supported by VanCity, provided expert and practical advice to incorporate greener solutions into the home from dozens of exhibitors (featuring EV Charging solutions, heat pumps, solar options, and various new technologies that are electric powered). The ‘Ask the expert’ feature also allowed attendees to bring in images and details on their property and their home’s energy performance – and in return had the opportunity to sit one-on-one with independent specialists to discuss individual actions as part of a whole-house approach.

12. Live theatre sessions featured YouTube sensations Sandy Munro of Munro Live and Matt Ferrell of Undecided with Matt Ferrell – along with thought-provoking discussions, and hands-on workshops.

13. The Content Creation Workshop powered by Rivian, provided energising and informative talks on the fundamentals of YouTube channels – how they work, how to make great content & how to make money!
