Grouse Bike Park with Lift Access Officially Opens for Inaugural Mountain Biking Season

release by Grouse Mountain

June 12, 2025 - (North Vancouver, BC) The inaugural season of Grouse Bike Park is officially underway, as Grouse Mountain celebrated with an opening ceremony featuring industry partners ahead of opening weekend. B.C.’s own mountain biking icons – Betty Birrell (“North Shore Betty”), Wade Simmons (the “Godfather of Freeride”), and Brett Tippie (Mountain Bike Hall-of-Famer) – were on site to cut the ribbon and mark the beginning of a thrilling new chapter at Grouse Mountain. The North Shore’s only lift-accessed mountain bike park welcomes guests to explore the trails as of Friday, June 6, 2025.

Designed and built by world-renowned trail builders Gravity Logic – the team behind Whistler Bike Park – Grouse Bike Park debuts with 9 purpose-built trails, and 3 additional trails slated to open by mid-summer. The park was designed with a focus on family fun and progression, featuring green and blue flow trails ideal for new riders, as well as more technical black and pro lines to challenge seasoned mountain bikers. Accessed by the Screaming Eagle chairlift, the park eliminates the need for climbing to maximize time on the trails.

“We were thrilled to be tapped for this exciting project,” says Tom “pro” Prochazka, founder and director of Gravity Logic. “Using our team’s expertise and working with Grouse Mountain’s existing terrain to create something new so close to home and right here on the legendary North Shore made this a really special build.”

With existing ties to the sport – from hosting the 2001, 2002, and 2003 MTB World Cup, to sitting at the gateway to some of North Vancouver’s most iconic trails – and the growing enthusiasm for mountain biking in the community, Grouse Bike Park was a natural next step. Set against panoramic views of Vancouver, Grouse Bike Park joins the Mountain’s summer lineup of adrenaline-pumping activities, including ziplining, paragliding, and the upcoming Grouse Gravity Coaster.

“We’re incredibly proud to offer a new way for riders of all skill levels to experience the thrill of mountain biking with ease, right here in Vancouver,” adds Grant Wahl, director of mountain operations at Grouse Mountain. “As a locally and family-owned business, this project was inspired by the deep-rooted passion for mountain biking in our community. It’s beyond exciting to introduce Grouse Bike Park, built for locals, fueled by Canadian spirit, and rooted in the North Shore.”

Grouse Bike Park day tickets and season passes are available now in limited quantities. Season passes provide the best value and guarantee unlimited access all season long.

Kids can also have the ultimate mountain biking experience this summer with Mavericks Mountain Bike Camps for ages 7-14 open for registration.
