March 14, 2020 - (Oakville, Ont.) Halton Regional Police Constable Marc Taraso was a busy man on e-bike patrol on March 11 charging 10 people with distracted driving reported Graham Paine in Inside Halton.
As part of their recent #ItCanWaitHalton campaign Halton police are coming down hard on distracted drivers to enhance enforcement of distracted driving legislation and education about the risks associated with distracted driving.
“I was only able to spend a few hours on patrol today, but when I did, it was 10 distracted drivers in a row, including one whose infant was not buckled into the car seat,” tweeted Taraso who was patroling on a Trek e-bike and noted that all of the incidents occured on a stretch of Trafalgar Road in Oakville.
