Join Cycle Toronto for a Ride to City Hall on July 12 to Welcome Mayor Chow’s First Day in Office

release by Cycle Toronto

July 9, 2023 - On June 26, Toronto voted for change, and on July 12, Toronto’s new mayor will take office. For many, there is optimism about a new future for our city. But from day one Mayor-Elect Olivia Chow will face considerable challenges and competing priorities. Let’s keep leading the change and ensure that cycling doesn’t get lost in the shuffle or taken for granted.

Newly elected Toronto Mayor, Olivia Chow, is a cyclist, and her first day in office is July 12, 2023. ©

Olivia Chow supported all ten road safety priority actions from our mayoral survey. We look forward to working with her office to build on the historic progress of the past three years and realize Toronto’s potential of a healthier, safer cycling city for all.

Join us in welcoming the new mayor by showcasing the diverse communities of people who ride bikes. Riding a bike is not just practical, affordable and efficient: it’s joyful!

Join us on Wednesday, July 12th for a ride to City Hall
