More People in Finland Now Use Company eBikes Over Company Cars, Drive Less and Cycle More

A total of 4,633 respondents indicated that 67,793 people are using the bicycle company benefit vs 67,541 that utilize the car benefit. In addition, 42% of benefit e-bike users have reduced their driving while 43% reported to have significantly increased their cycling.

The bicycle company benefit first became available in 2021 and in its first year recorded 11,055 users – the following year that number tripled.

“The driving force behind this growth is that the bike benefit is accessible for a wider group of people compared to the car benefit, and 56% of benefit e-bike users estimate that cycling has had a positive effect on their health,” says Jacob Segercrantz, CEO of Edenred, the biggest employment service provider in Finland.
