This year, we’re joining our host, the Toronto Parking Authority + Bike Share Toronto for exciting events the evening of Thursday September 21st and Friday September 22nd at the Growing Shared Micromobility: Connecting People & Places Conference. Check out the happenings below!

You Won’t Want to Miss the Toronto Evening Reception!
Kick off your Toronto experience with an evening reception on the waterfront of Lake Ontario at Boxcar Social Harbourfront, September 21st from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm. From 5:45 to 6:30pm, join Cocktails and Conversation with Bike Share Toronto and Research Strategy Group as they share how Bike Share Toronto used customer research and insights to develop and execute an integrated marketing, communications and operations plan that drove 35% revenue and ridership growth. The presentation will be followed by a Q+A session.

Karla Avis-Birch to Deliver Conference Keynote 
We are excited to announce Karla Avis-Birch as the conference keynote speaker this year! Her presentation will take place during the Opening Plenary on September 20th.

Karla Avis-Birch is the Chief Planning Officer at Metrolinx. She leads the Planning & Development team on helping to deliver an integrated, sustainable transit and effective network for all by way of development of the Regional Transportation Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area (GGHA), implementation of key policies and standards that connect communities and maintains a high customer experience, and manages the delivery of benefits from capital projects.

During her keynote, Karla will share how she guides the planning and benefits of the regional transportation network and how shared micromobility helps to achieve end-to-end transit solutions.

Sign up Now for a Toronto Mobile Workshop on Sept. 22!
We are excited for you to close out your conference experience and get to know Toronto by participating in a mobile workshop on Friday, September 22nd. Workshops have staggered start times and are being offered beginning at 8:30am, 9:15am, and 10:00am. All mobile workshops begin at Bike Share Toronto station: Bremner Blvd/Rees St and end at Bike Share Toronto operational headquarters where attendees will say goodbye to friends old and new over a local treat. Conference activities end at 12:00pm.

Ride to North America’s Largest Electric Bike Share Station @ 9:15am
Take a ride along Toronto’s world class waterfront trails to North America’s largest bikeshare electric charging station. At the station participants will have an opportunity for a Q&A with representatives from Bike Share Toronto, PBSC, and Shift Transit.
