NBDA Presents Bicycle Industry eBike Safety and Standards Panel Online on Sept. 12

September 8, 2023 - The NBDA provides a quarterly platform for industry experts to meet and discuss the risks, concerns, and best practices regarding lithium-ion batteries and e-mobility devices safety, standards, and compliance. As a part of their involvement in this panel, experts have committed to being proactive in working in unison to determine what actions need to be taken and taking responsibility for such actions as both individuals and as a group.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the forum. As an attendee, you can watch the panel discussion and submit questions via text-based Q&A.

If you would like to be more involved in the forum, here are the options available:

The NBDA will accept items for the forum agenda to be discussed by the panel experts.
• You may submit written comments by sending an email to Heather@NBDA.com with the subject “Bicycle Industry E Bike Safety & Standards Panel Comments”
• Proposed agenda items will be accepted no later than 1 week prior to the scheduled forum.
• The agenda for the forum will be posted on the event listing page at NBDA.com/Events 5 business days prior to each event. 

Interested parties may request to serve on the expert panel.
• Any individual interested in serving on the expert panel must submit a request to the NBDA President at Heather@NBDA.com using the subject “Bicycle Industry E Bike Safety & Standards Panel”
• The email must contain an abstract of your expertise
• Such requests must be received no later than 5pm Eastern at least 2 weeks prior to the next scheduled forum.

Interested parties may request to make an oral presentation to the panel.
• Any individual interested in making an oral presentation to the panel must first register for the forum.
• Then, submit a request to make an oral presentation to the NBDA President at Heather@NBDA.com with the subject “Bicycle Industry E Bike Safety & Standards Panel”
• The email must contain your contact information, an abstract of your expertise, and the topic you propose to address.
• Such requests must be received no later than 5pm Eastern at least 2 weeks prior to the next scheduled forum.
