Analysis by Type of Bike Infrastructure
The Canadian Bikeway Comfort and Safety (Can-BICS) classification system is a three-tiered classification scheme that groups bicycle facilities based on safety performance and user comfort.

All Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo count locations have now been categorized and we have compared the number of cyclists per hour by type of Can-BICS comfort class. In our Canada wide analysis, high comfort bicycle facilities were found to be associated with a significantly higher number of cyclists per hour than low comfort facilities.

Responsive Data Tables
Longitudinal count data is now available in the form of sortable tables online. You can view and download tables with ridership by year, community, count location and type of bicycle infrastructure. Access the table for all of Canada here.
